It features a new and improved Liquidmetal Gold formula with 15% more liquidmetal for even greater Pure Energy Transfer! The Plasma Gold bats also feature Advanced Metallics, which is the proven CRe (Chromium Enhanced) alloy that offers the latest in strength and durability. From the Alcoa Advanced Metallics laboratories, this one-piece frame provides a handle flex that is 1.5 times stiffer than most multi-piece bats. and a new ultra-tough Low Rider end plug that can withstand hits up to 105 mph! The -12 version works best for fastpitch softball and is ASA, USSSA BPF 1.20, NSA and ISF approved.

The Rawlings Plasma GOLD FPLMPG is a one-piece, ultra lightweight bat made with Rawlings' Liquidmetal Gold material which has twice the strength of titanium. With its -12 drop, the Rawlings Plasma GOLD FPLMPG is suited towards smaller players need a lightweight bat to generate appropriate bat speed..

But the Rawlings Plasma GOLD FPLMPG uses its flexible RPM Composite - Tournament Flex Handle, it also uses its CRe (chromium enhanced) stiff frame - 1.5 times stiffer than two-piece bats. Smaller players (i.e., those with less strength) need a bit more "flex" in the bat so that the ball can "pop" off the bat.

The Rawlings Plasma GOLD FPLMPG is well balanced and uses a synthentic leather grip that feels good. Combined with Rawlings' Low Rider end plug, there is little "hand sting".

Bottom line: The Rawlings Plasma GOLD FPLMPGT is an ultra lightweight bat, well constructed but a bit stiff for its target market - smaller players.
