MATTINGLY BEAST V-Grip™ Fastpitch Composite Bat

The Mattingly Beast V-Grip is a one-piece, 100% composite bat with excellent hitting performance. The Mattingly Beast V-Grip has several innovative technologies which make this an outstanding bat.

First, the Mattingly Beast V-Grip uses XWC Xtreme Weave Carbon in its multiwall design creating an exceptional "sweet spot". The Mattingly Beast V-Grip's Direct Power Transfer technology stiffens the handle and taper for maximum energy transfer to the flexible barrel, generating good "pop" off the bat.

But what makes the Mattingly Beast V-Grip truly unique is its V-Grip™ Handle Technology.The Mattingly V-Grip is specifically designed to keep the "knocker" knuckles aligned and shift the bat away from the palm and into the fingers - correctly “power-loading” your energy forcing your grip to be in perfect alignment every time for perfect follow-through. Note: The "knocker" knuckles are those knuckles would hit the door if you knocked on it.

Said another way, the V-Grip technology ensures proper hand alignment allowing the batter to maximize the power of the swing by placing the bat in the proper position in the hands during the swing, keeping the bat from turning in the hands during the swing. Through proper hand alignment, the player can deliver faster bat speed, creating more power to drive the ball farther.

With a -10 drop in longer bat lengths, the Mattingly Beast V-Grip technology targets at older players of average strength - enabling them to generate appropriate bat speed.

Bottom line: The Mattingly Beast V-Grip is lively with a large sweet spot and great performance. And with its innovative V-Grip, the Mattingly Beast V-Grip is an excellent choice for average strength players - but not slappers. You should know that it does take some time to get used to the V-Grip and some players may not like the "change" in the way they are forced to hold the bat.
