The Louisville Slugger Odyssey FP87 is a very light-weight bat that is priced towards the lower end of the typical price spectrum for bats, slightly less expensive than the Louisville Slugger Mendoza Composite FP86M.

The Louisville Slugger Odyssey FP87, with its -13 drop (length to weight ratio) is another bat that enables smaller players to have good bat speed through the hitting zone.

The Louisville Slugger Odyssey FP87 is made from 7050 high performance alloy (aluminum) while the Louisville Slugger Mendoza COMPOSITE FP86M is a composite bat made of aerospace grade graphite and S-glass fibers using Louisville Slugger's exclusive C1C Composite Design.

The Synthetic Grip and patented End Cap of the Louisville Slugger Odyssey FP87 helps to damper the vibrations allowing you to have to the softest swing possible. This allows for a more natural swing without the fear of vibrations that alter your follow-thru giving you the most positive flow of power possible.
