I have been coaching softball for going on 37 years.....and
every year gets harder......but I have reviewed your fast pitch listing
and agree
whole heartedly with the Phenix, Synergy, and Rocket Tech.....I have all
of them in my arsenal.....although somedays it seems the girls go to bat
without a bat. No matter what kind of bat you have, you have to swing it! I
am not real fond of the Catalyst......because it seems they have had some
manufacturing problems, which may be a safety issue in the future.Anyhow.....The
comment that I wanted to make is ....... All of these bats are sold in
the range of $230 to 280.....in my opinion this is ridiculous......!
I just wanted to point out that over the years, I have found that the best
deal for not only a starter bat, but an everyday bat, that many times is
used in cold weather conditions, like high school spring contests, is the
bugandy colored TPS...I think the number is something like TP-15..which
is sold for about $40 to $50....a 32 or 33....23 oz is suggested. This
probably can found in almost every teams bat bag, but seldom used because
it is no longer pretty or doesn't cost enough........It however perhaps
is the best bat in the bag in several occations, because it is very consistant
....no matter if cold or hot. It is durable, and has great weight distribution
throughout the bat, without any end loads......just a good balanced bat,
which allows for good bat quickness. Its sweet spot seems to range throughout
the entire bat, unlike the Phenix and Synergy below its first 14 inches......the
Rocket Tech seems a little over weighted towards its end and should only
be used by those girls with long swings and a lack of bat quickness.

We are on our second Catalyst top bat. We had the 2007 and
are now using the 2008 model. We love them. The ball jumps off the bat
and rips thru the infield... I'm the coach and I feel that it
gives our players more base hits with the speed it gets thru the infield,
though
our stronger
players tend to not produce the distance like they get with our RockeTech
or DeMarini's... Love your site and keep up the great work...fellow coach...

Recommended
This is a good one. It is well balanced and has a big sweet spot and good
grip. I feel like I have so much power with this bat. I would recommend
this to a friend.

My 16 yr. old daughter picked this one, and in her 2nd game sent one over
left center fence. Nice line drives, too. Great feel, nice sweet spot.
Highly recommended.
She loves it.

My daughter has 3 Catalysts.She hated the bat at first but whern she got use
to swinging it, she loved it. That's why she has 3 of them.

This bat is great! It's got a great feel and awsome distance.. With this bat,
I hit my all time high using this bat. I had 14 home runs this year.. I have
to say that after me gettting my 2008 Catalyst, 4 others girls got their own
bats as well. This bat has worked wonders for me. And I hope it does the same
for you!

A Home Run Bat! I can noiw hit it far! Bottom Line:Yes, I recommended
this to a friend. She bought one and was two feet short of a home run
on the first swing
but it cost a lot, so share it with your teammates.

BEST BAT! This bat provides everything i have ever wanted. I am 15, and
play softball for my high school. I also play in my community for my
little league
where
i was an all-star, and I play on an elite travel team. This bat has
a sound that is like no other when the ball bounces off. This bat is
better than any I have used before because the way the bat is designed
it creates more pop!

Recommended
Light but with great power! This bat has great power that can easily hit some
home runs in. The good thing about this bat is that it's not too powerful to
bunt with. It's an all around great bat. lighweight, powerful, durable and a
great
bat for anyone on the team. SOFTBALL ROCKS!!

I finally plunked down the money to buy a good bat for my 12 year old
daughter, and now am wondering why I didn't do it sooner! Her batting
average is still solid, but the pop and distance this bat added have
helped her confidence 100%! She hit her first out of the park HR after
only having it about 2 weeks and to opposite field to boot! Excellent
bat, ..now several of the girls on her little league team are using
her bat! Worth every penny and then some!

i am gonna keep this bat for ever and ever. I already hit my first homerun

I
like this bat more than my own and more than the other brands
we tried. I love how it feels and how it swings. I hit more line
drives and fewer pop ups. I hit a lot better with this. And I love
the color.
